The Mount Pleasant Eco Park campsite near Porthtowan offers a beautiful, back to basics place to stay.  Aswell as pitches for tents and campers or tourers (with or without hookup) we also offer Glamping, a brand new Shepherd’s Hut is available to hire (from 10th June 2017) in our relaxing Eco friendly site by the Cornish coast.

From the Eco Park, our wild camping area has spectacular views down to the beach at Porthtowan and over to Atlantic Sea, as well as to St Agnes Beacon and the copper mining valley of Tywarnhayle.  From the naturally beautiful and peaceful site, a cleared mule track (used in mining times) leads down the valley towards the beach, so you can spend the day surfing, lazing and enjoying all the local area has to offer without needing to jump in the car.

The Mineral Tramway cycle path is just down the road, offering a great day out exploring the mining heritage of this stunning part of the world from the North to the South coast at Devoran.  On the park we have solar powered showers, composting loos and a washroom for pots & pans – which also has plug sockets.

Whether you are looking for a laid back family holiday, participating in a course, attending a wedding or celebration or volunteering on one of our environmental projects, the wild camping here offers you a unique and affordable place to stay. We love having well behaved dogs on the park, and pets are welcome across our grounds. Please avoid taking dogs into our La Cantina Cafe or into the Barn if these areas are open when you’re staying.

Over the summer we’re hosting Eco Park CAMP-OUTS! Click here for more information about these family-friendly gatherings full of food, nature, wildlife watching and an evening by the campfire.

We love hosting events here, but don’t worry, our Wild Camping is away from other parts of the Park, so the campsite remains a restful place to stay. Find more information about the wonderful events we host here.
