Richard Pugh has been building stone hedges and dry stone walls for 7 years. With a background in building, gardening and art he now combines his love of stone carving with stone hedging to create unique and interesting stone work. He offers quality Cornish stone hedges to clients throughout Cornwall & beyond, blending traditional craft with a creative eye, reusing materials, reducing waste and preserving the beauty of the natural environment.
This 2 day practical course will see participants build a section of wall, incorporating some some planting pockets. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, you will come away with an understanding of the techniques necessary to tackle your own home projects!
The course runs from 10am to 5pm each day, with a break for lunch (please bring your own). Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Please note the following:
Participants MUST wear steel toe capped boots throughout the course, which you must provide. Anyone turning up without them may be turned away – this is for your own safety so please adhere! Tools and gloves will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own shovels and hammers. We recommend wearing a waterproof, layers of dry clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle – it can be thirsty work!
Cost: £120 (Adults and children over 16 only please)
