An exciting and inspiring new festival to celebrate Mount Pleasant Eco Park’s 10th birthday this summer, Tropical Pressure Festival brings a packed programme of live music, food, dance and culture to the Eco Park site from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2014.
This family friendly event, with camping in the Eco Park’s spacious grounds overlooking the sea, will come alive with the sounds, sights and flavours of 3 continents. Friday is dedicated to Latin America, Saturday is inspired by the Caribbean, and Sunday is devoted to all things African.
Headlining the bill will be Songlines Award-winners Dub Colossus, whose stunning fusion of Ethio-jazz and Jamaican Reggae took Glastonbury by storm in 2013. Other confirmed artists include WARA, Los Charley’s Orchestra & Baila La Cumbia (Friday), Reggae legends Macka B, Natty & Rasites (Saturday), Afla Sackey & Afrikbawantu, Muntu Valdo, United Vibration, Nubiyan Twist & the Amadou Diagne Band (Sunday).
The main stage music line-up will be complemented by a Local Acoustic Stage, free singing, craft, drumming and dance workshops, World Film screenings, Kids’ activity area, Chill out and meditation areas, and Starry Skies Storytelling in the Cob Courtyard.
Uniquely, the festival will be 100% vegetarian with a World Street Food Market offering delicious, freshly prepared food from around the globe.
Adult tickets, which include camping, range from £45 to £60, with children under 15 half price and Under 5′s free. Every ticket includes free transport to and from Redruth Train station, making Tropical Pressure one of the greenest festivals on the calendar.
Please note that ALL tickets will be issued electronically, so you’ll need a valid email address to receive them. Sadly, we cannot issue tickets without an email address.
