Wedding & Events Manager 

The Eco Park has an exciting opportunity for an Events Manager to join the team. We are looking for someone to help us maximise our potential, and who has experience of managing events of all sizes with multiple moving pieces. You will be working alongside the Eco Park owner and General Manager to organise the fantastic programme weddings and live performance events and to ensure their smooth delivery.

Alongside the year-round Eco Park events calendar, you will be assisting with the site’s highlight of the year, Tropical Pressure Festival, in line with the Sustainability Policy and Action Plan. You will be a part of the crucial operations team, working alongside them to deliver the festival. 

Mount Pleasant Eco Park is a unique venue set on a 42-acre estate, with indoor and outdoor extraordinary spaces to hire, rural workshops, a community garden, wild campsite, and a vegan café at its heart. It hosts music events, festivals, markets, conferences, workshops, and weddings, as well as having its very own print room using the most environmental printing techniques. Located on the hilltop bordering an area of outstanding natural beauty near Porthtowan, there is a focus on community, best sustainable practices, and the natural environment.

Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to maximise the income generation from weddings, events, workshops, and business hires that align to our values and complement our busy events schedule. 
  • Forging strong relationships with clients and discovering exactly what they want from their wedding/events.
  • To manage and attend wedding days and live events as responsible person, 
  • To assistant the operations team at Tropical Pressure Festival specifically in sourcing and booking site infrastructure items and creating the site map
  • Design your working hours to deliver events that exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Responding to wedding/event enquiries and hosting viewings.
  • Ensure the delivery of a diverse programme of events to complement the Eco Park’s ethos. 
  • Managing the events and gigs from contracting the artists, arranging accommodation where required, fulfilling the requirements of the tech rider, liaising with artists, setting up the venue, and completing Profit and Loss accounts.

Desirable

  • 2 years previous experience in event management/coordination 
  • Hospitality experience
  • A good understanding of Google sheets and Google drive
  • An interest in live music and events industry
  • A passion for the environment

What we offer:

Job Type: Permanent 

Salary: £32,344.00 pro rata

You must be available for Tropical Pressure 5th-19th July 2024

40 hours a week including weekend and evening work when required. 

20 days holiday – plus bank holidays and sick pay, pension (opt out available) pro rata.
