Mount Pleasant Eco Park is looking for a dynamic, hardworking team player to join our bar team.

Ideally you will have previous experience as a bar manager, assistant bar manager or head bartender. This is a chance to make the bar your own.

The Eco Park has an exciting, growing calendar of events and a busy campsite. From afro beat legends, late night world music, atmospheric intimate folk gigs to laid back wild weddings. We are looking for a team player who is willing to work with the whole Eco Park team.

You must be willing to put in the work, find solutions and create memorable experiences for the wide variety of customers who visit the Eco Park including campers, locals, wedding guests, gig goers and private hire.

Duties will include:

Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and serving beverages to Eco Park customers.

Ensure that the bar, front-of-house, and other areas are clean and maintained.

Ensure the cellar is clean, maintained and clean the bar lines.

Cashing up at the end of each shift.

Managing and ordering stock.

Liaising with the Events Team to ensure weddings and events are properly catered for.

Motivating a small team of bar staff.

Initially 16 – 20 hours per week, rising to 35 – 40 hours per week from 21st June.

£9.50 to £10 per hour depending on experience.

Mount Pleasant Ecological Park have an exciting opportunity for an Events/Operations and Marketing Manager to join their growing business and develop the already bustling events/camping calendar. The successful candidate will be working across all strands of the Eco Park’s work; Managing events from start to finish, devising and implementing targeted Marketing activity, as well as handling a variety of office systems, answering enquiries, taking bookings, sending quotes and managing internal calendars.

Mount Pleasant Eco Park is a unique venue set on a 42-acre estate, with indoor and outdoor extraordinary spaces to hire, rural workshops, a community garden, campsite and a vegetarian café at its heart. It hosts music events, festivals, markets, conferences, workshops and weddings. As well as having its very own print room using the most environmental printing techniques. Located on the hilltop bordering an area of outstanding natural beauty near Porthtowan, there is a focus on community, best sustainable practise, the natural environment and working towards creating a better world to live in.


  • Devise and implement Marketing activity to promote all strands of the Eco Park business; to drive interest and trade, ensuring the core values and personality of each shine through.
  • Respond to event enquiries, meet with event/venue hire organisers making sure their event is suitable for the Eco Park and help plan their event to run smoothly.
  • Host show rounds.
  • Oversee the operation of events, including liaising with caterers and other suppliers.
  •  Managing a small team of staff and ensuring everyone knows what is required.
  • Manage mailing lists and work across all print, online and social media activity.
  • Talk to the press about upcoming events, new products and newsworthy activities.
  • Update and drive new traffic for the Mount Pleasant Eco Park.
  • Work with Finance Manager to ensure invoices are issued and paid.
  • Manage the Eco Park diary.
  • Work with the Campsite Manager to promote our campsite and accommodation options.
  • Provide administrative support to the Eco Park Director, Tim Stirrup, including letter writing.
  • Attending some wedding days as venue manager and responsible person (This will primarily be the event assistant’s role).
  • Be the first port of call for visitors at the Park, and answer telephone and email enquiries.
  • Manage bookings for Eco Park live events, where applicable.

Have administrative responsibility for Health & Safety at the Eco Park e.g. keeping documentation up to date and arranging insurance.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking cleaner to join our team. From 12th April we require someone on 3 mornings for around 8 hours a week. From 17th May we require someone for 4 mornings a week for around 10 hours a week. From 21st June we require someone 5 – 6 mornings a week for around 14 – 16 hours a week. In the winter we will require around 3 – 4 mornings a week plus help with glamping changeovers.

The role involves cleaning the venues indoor and outdoor space and toilets to a high standard.

Hourly rate £10 with flexible hours.
