An Dannsa Dub have been one of the most exciting acts on the UK festival circuit since bursting onto the scene in 2020. Led by Tom Spirals and Euan McLaughlin, they have carved out a sound entirely their own — weaving the mystical textures of Gaelic song and traditional Scottish instruments into deep, rolling dub rhythms and thunderous basslines. Ancient and futuristic. Rootsy and electronic. And absolutely impossible to stand still to.
Twice nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Scots Trad Awards, the band have electrified crowds at Glastonbury, Celtic Connections, Dubcamp in France and Goa Sunsplash in India. Their music has earned BBC airplay from Don Letts, Craig Charles and Tom Robinson — and their debut album ‘Air An Turas’ brought critical acclaim and extensive touring across the globe.
Their latest album ‘Through The Storm’ marks a bold new chapter — co-produced by legendary dub producer Gaudi and mixed by dubmaster Paolo Baldini Dubfiles, featuring an extraordinary cast of collaborators including Junior Dread, Josie Duncan, corto.alto and Rachel Newton. It is a record that cements An Dannsa Dub’s place on the international stage.
Live, they are something else entirely. Expect fiddle, flute, soaring Gaelic vocals, and a rhythm section that will shake the walls of Skylarking from floor to ceiling.
