Join us for a memorable evening of films to celebrate our shared love for the ocean.
We feel so lucky to have the ocean in our everyday lives and want to share that love and passion with you all.
We’ll kick things off with some food from the wonderful team at Canteen from 6-7 (only Β£10 per meal if pre-ordered) then roll into the barn for the films.
First up will be Being Weird and Being Plastic from artist Andy Hughes, who has been exploring plastic waste and pollution along shorelines for the past 30 years, collaborating internationally with scientists, curators, NGOs, and local communities to raise awareness about ocean pollution.
This will be followed up by M.A.D. The Story of Chris Hines MBE from Finnegan Crouch. How do you live a life less ordinary? How do you build a life of purpose? M.A.D., an intimate portrait of Chris Hines MBE, groundbreaking environmentalist, activist and co-founder of SAS, provides just the inspiration to answer those questions.
We’ll follow the films with a Q&A session with both film makers and Chris Hines himself so you can learn more about what it is like to fight for a cleaner, greener planet for more than three decades.
We’ll wrap up the night with a film celebrating 15 years of Otter Surfboards and the fun and wonder that the ocean has provided us over the years with footage from various Monday Morning Surf Club sessions.
