Hailing from the North-West of England, Joe Yorke’s journey began busking on the streets of Manchester before being drawn into the heart of the UK soundsystem movement. Inspired by the energy of Notting Hill Carnival and shaped within the underground dub scene of Moss Side, he has spent years refining a sound that blends rocksteady roots, dub pressure, and rich soul influences into something truly distinctive.
Fusing live music on the one hand and soundsystem on the other, Joe Yorke embraces the full spectrum of the Reggae scene. His musical foundation comes from Jamaican Rocksteady and Dub but he also takes a strong influence in Soul, Northern Soul, New Wave, Dub Techno and Concrete music.
Now based in Bristol and running his own label Rhythm Steady, Joe has established himself as one of the most unique voices in modern UK reggae. His powerful live performances have taken him across Europe, appearing at major festivals such as Boomtown, Rototom, Dub Camp, Dour, and International Dub Gathering, and sharing stages with leading acts including Stand High Patrol, O.B.F, Biga*Ranx, and Gentleman’s Dub Club.
With a growing catalogue of releases, including the acclaimed albums Noise And Emptiness, A Distant Beat, and Hopeless, Joe continues to push boundaries, fusing vintage reggae foundations with contemporary soundsystem culture and soul-driven songwriting.
This is more than just a live show – it’s a fully immersive session built for the dance, powered by heavy bass, deep selections, and a late-night atmosphere running through until 1am. Whether you’re a dedicated reggae head or simply looking to experience something real, this is a night not to be missed.
