Pilates with Anita Duffy

Anita runs a variety of classes on Monday evenings and Thursday Mornings.

Monday evenings
6.20pm-7.20pm – General Class *
7.30pm-8.30pm – General Class *
Thursday mornings
9.30am – 10.30am – General Class *
10.40am-11.40am – “Gentle/Seniors class” **

* General Class is suitable for anyone who doesn’t have any major injuries (especially back injuries) or conditions like Osteoporosis, or Pregnancy. Please call and we can discuss if the class will be suitable for you. I want everyone to have a chance to exercise safely – so if I know beforehand may be able to alter the program.

** “Gentle/Seniors class”

This is a Gentle level class – suitable for clients over 60 and those with injuries and conditions such as Osteoporosis/Osteopenia/Arthritis. I can tailor the class to accommodate but still make it a whole body class focusing on posture, balance and mobility of joints.

Options will be given to accommodate different abilities and everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace/level.

Course Bookings
£37.50 for a 5 week term. This price is discounted for a course of classes (i.e NO REFUNDS for missed classes). Essentially it guarantees your mat for the term – it also encourages attendance and therefore you are more likely to feel results. It does mean there is no refund though if you can’t attend – although you are welcome to come to a different class during that term as a make up class (subject to space – and letting me know at least 24 hours in advance). Classes cannot be rolled over onto the following block

Casual Attendance
£8.50 per class – although this does not guarantee you a mat each week. Only available if there is space.

About Anita

In the past I have been nervous about telling people I am a Pilates teacher – assuming people expect me to have 6 pack abs. I do not! I see my role as a Pilates teacher in educating my clients in how to move safely. Our bodies need to move for good health, but someone dealing with a chronic health condition, or someone who hasn’t exercised for a long time, may really struggle in a traditional exercise class.

I want everyone to feel in their body the health benefits of Pilates and make people feel really welcome and comfortable coming to a class – that is my goal.
