TEDxPorthtowan Women is sited in the rich heritage of Cornwall and will be a landmark event on International Women’s day 8th March 2026. Our vision is to celebrate the strength, achievements, and potential of women across every generation in Cornwall.
This event seeks to challenge and dismantle long-standing societal perceptions that have historically placed women in a secondary role within our community and offer a platform for exchange, where intergenerational ideas ignite change and inspire futures.
Our mission is to create a vibrant space of learning, led and upheld by women, where voices across generations and cultures can be heard, ideas and stories can be shared, and collective wisdom can flourish.
This event will showcase local women’s voices, community leaders, educators, artists, tradeswomen, mothers, students and business women. From young trailblazers breaking into male-dominated industries to older women redefining leadership and legacy, every speaker will exemplify the strength and diversity of our region’s women.
All tickets include entrance to the whole event, where the TEDx is recorded. With networking, refreshments, breakfast pastries, vegan lunch, afternoon tea and cake.
Due to the nature of the TEDxPorthtowanWomen being a live theatre style performance which is filmed, there is a strict time constraint, doors close 5 mins before, with option to leave at intervals only. It is a recorded event. Although audience will not be in the main videos, there will be panning across audience clapping. By purchasing your ticket you again agree to this.
This event is sponsored by Planet A; an organisation working at the forefront of climate change mitigation. By supporting this TEDx event, we are investing in minds that will redefine our planet’s future. Please tread lightly and minimise the use of fossil fuels in how you travel and attend this event.
