Community Roots, PlantOne and the Eco Park would love to invite you all to our upcoming community tree planting weekend!
Join us for an inspiring community tree planting weekend, bringing people together to care for nature, learn new skills, and enjoy time outdoors. This is a friendly, inclusive event open to all ages and abilities, so whether you’re an experienced planter or just curious to get involved, please come along as absolutely everyone is welcome.
Over the course of the weekend, we’ll be planting trees, sharing knowledge, and working together at a relaxed and supportive pace. Tools, guidance, and plenty of encouragement will be provided, with tasks suitable for different abilities and energy levels.
Whether you can stay for an hour, a full day, or the whole weekend, your presence will make a difference. Come along, bring friends or family, and be part of something positive for our landscape and our community.
Saturday 7th February
Daytime Session: 10am – 3pm
Evening Session: 6.30 – 9.30pm
Free plant based pasties included for all volunteers, so you can refuel and enjoy a well-earned break while connecting with fellow community members.

Join us from 6.30pm on Saturday – Discover the hidden connections of our Forests and Oceans. A journey from our past to the present. How reforestation can save our oceans.
Free tickets to an evening of talks, by scientists, marine biologists, forest ecologists, activists and folklore story tellers, showcasing ground breaking science and highlights of an upcoming documentary.

Sunday 8th February
Daytime Session: 10am – 3pm
Ingleheart Singers will also be performing live!
There is no need to register for getting involved with Sunday tree planting, you can simply turn up and take part!
🌱 Seed Swap 🌱 in Big Shed, Community Roots 1 – 3pm on Sunday.
Seedy Sunday is back, come and get some seeds, and talk about seeds and seed saving, and if you have any, share seeds. Come and chat to growers and find out what’s new in the seed saving world – All welcome.
