Volunteer Tuesday at Community Roots, Eco Park Porthtowan
Volunteers are an integral part of Community Roots.
We simply can not run without the help we get each week, sowing, planting, harvesting, clearing and maintaining our garden. We have had volunteers aged from 2 to 92 (and most ages in between) and we make sure we always have a range of jobs to suit all ages and abilities. We aim to be properly inclusive and we believe that everyone can find something they can enjoy and do well at Roots.
Some of our volunteers come to learn about growing, some come to socialise, some come to spend time outdoors, some want to contribute to a cause which feels important, and some come for all of the above, plus cake! Whatever you’re after, we will have activities to suit you.
Join us every Tuesday + the first Sunday of each month from 10am to 4pm.There is no need to book in advance.
