Volunteer Friday

The Down To Earth Foundation, based at the Eco Park, runs regular volunteering sessions every Friday 9.30am – 1pm (registration from 9.15am).

It’s a great chance to get outside, get stuck in and meet like-minded people while helping with seasonal projects in the 42-acre Eco Park grounds. Everyone is welcome and each session is followed by a hearty soup in the café!

Our location on the north coast of Cornwall is a World Heritage site, and the once derelict land has been lovingly brought back to life with the development of plenty of rich habitat for local wildlife, from wildflower fields to living willow structures.

During Volunteer Fridays you can expect to be involved in a wide range of activities, from maintaining bird boxes to growing organic vegetables in the community allotment that provides produce for the onsite vegan café.

BACK FROM FRIDAY 16TH APRIL

We have a lot of work to catch up on! This Spring we will be focusing on preparing the allotment, planting out and making the site look lovely for the summer.

Please make sure you wear suitable clothes (warm and waterproof!), Wellies or waterproof boots and bring your own gardening gloves if you can.
