Join us for this collaborative workshop where we’ll create an 8-page mindfulness zine using the risograph printer at the Eco Park Press. Wellbeing writer Emily Wheeler will guide us through content creation and writing exercises as each participant takes creative control of their own page.
In the morning we’ll get creative in the amazing landscape at the Eco Park, using the natural environment to influence our ideas for mindful content. After lunch, we’ll spend the afternoon each creating our pages, which will be printed on the risograph printer at the end of the day. Everyone will take away five copies of the zine as a personal keepsake, or to distribute as a unique gift for friends and family.
Cost: £60 includes materials and 5 copies of your zine to take home.
Please bring a packed lunch and warm clothes for eating outdoors. A waterproof coat/boots would be great as we will be walking outside in long grass. Our onsite cafe Wilder Allotment Kitchen serves delicious vegan lunches, check their facebook / instagram just before the day for opening times and menus. @wilder_allotment_kitchen
To reopen Eco Park Press, we have put in some measures to ensure our safety.
Please DO NOT ATTEND if you have ANY SYMPTOMS or are supposed to be self isolating.
We are restricting the number of people both in the print room and in the shared studio at any one time. As there are other craft studios in Studio 3, there may be occasional people walking through. Within the print room Amy will be on hand for technical support.
Workshops and Inductions will be upto 5 participants, plus a workshop leader.
Open Access print sessions will have 2-3 participants, plus a technician.
Please wear a mask when coming into the studio and when walking around the building. During workshops or Open Access sessions you will have your own desk space at which you do not need to wear your mask but you are welcome to continue to if you wish. Hand sanitizer will be available, please use it regularly. There is a shared toilet in Studio 3 which will be sanitized immediately before workshops and open access days.
We would normally be offering you cups of tea, coffee and a heap of biscuits but just to be safe, we are currently asking you to bring your own water bottle or cuppa. We have lovely water from the borehole which you can refill with!
Please bring a packed lunch and warm clothes for eating outdoors. The Wilder Allotment Kitchen is currently open on Saturdays serving lunches in the outside covered courtyard – please double check before you come on their Facebook / Instagram @wilder_allotment_kitchen.
We will limit the use of equipment in the studio as we will need to sanitize between uses.
Drawing and collage making materials:
If you have your own art materials and are able to bring them then please do, we have individual drawing/collage packs for you to use as well as lightboxes for lining up work.
