DA LATA ft BEMBE SEGUE
A high-energy fusion of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, soul, jazz-funk, and trip hop. Brazilian-influenced British group formed in the early 1990s by multi instrumentalist Christian Franck and DJ Patrick Forge.
Da Lata‘s music is warm, soulful, and made, more or less, in collaboration with artists working with musical styles that have emerged from African-Brazilian interchanges. Da Lata are known for their fusion of Afro-Brazilian music with London’s diverse sound. Their music incorporates both acoustic and electronic elements, blending genres like downtempo, world music, funk and electronic music.
Da Lata emerged from the vibrant intersection of London club culture and Brazilian influence in the late ‘90s. They combine world-influences with the melting pot of their native city, carving out a space that was equal parts sun-drenched and rhythmically global.
HOUSE OF UNITY
House of Unity is a 6 piece live music act based in Paris, specializing in house music, funk, and saxophone-driven performances. They are known for performing at festivals and clubs, featuring a lineup that includes live a saxophonist, brass section, and remixes of funk and dance classics.
Summoning the hypnotic groovy soundscapes of House music, the futuristic heir to the Funk, Disco, and Gospel trilogy, launching organic ecstasy onto electronic acidity and inciting the uprising of bodies and the exaltation of souls in a unified vibration!
DJ PATRICK FORGE
DJ Patrick Forge is a true legend of London’s jazz and Latin music scene. The Dingwalls icon, NTS Radio resident, founder member of Afro-Brazilian group Da Lata, and long-time collaborator of Gilles Peterson has attracted a cult following over more than two crate-digging decades in the music industry. Tropical rhythms, devotional boogie and soulful shenanigans with a heavy jazz undertone, Patrick Forge gathers it all up for your listening pleasure.
