Join us for an evening of legendary cinema powered by bicycles!
We are so excited to welcome Powered Up to the Eco Park amphitheatre, they will be bringing their solar and pedal powered energy system for an off-grid screening of the classic 1985 Steven Spielberg family film The Goonies.
In case you have never seen it, it’s an iconic 80’s film about a group of young misfits called The Goonies, who discover an ancient map and set off on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s lost treasure.
Bike generators are a fun and simple innovation that allows people to generate their own electricity through exercise. The cinema uses electricity generated entirely from the audience who pedal ordinary cycles attached to specially adapted generators.
The bikes will be provided, but we would also love for you to get involved and help power the movie by joining in with the cycling! You can sign up on the night to take part in cycling, or if you just fancy enjoying some outdoor cinema, you are more than welcome to simply come along and enjoy the film.
This screening will take place in our beautiful open air amphitheatre (to be moved inside if weather necessitates) So please bring warm clothes.
Friday 4th August from 8pm
Tickets £4 advance / £5 on the door – All ages welcome!
