After killer live shows on the Festival circuit including Glastonbury and Boomtown, the Busy Twists Live show comes to Cornwall, with a full seven piece band, this is going to be explosive!
THE BUSY TWIST
From St Lucia to Jamaica to Ghana to Colombia, London born producer, global electronic sound specialist Oliver Williams AKA The Busy Twist has travelled the globe to create his dance floor killing productions.
His debut EP ‘Friday Night’ combines these cultures, respectfully crossing sound boundaries and joining the dots between Afro House, Kuduro, Latin and Uk Bass.
Released June 3rd, 2019, on Galletas Calientes Records, The London Luanda Remix Series is the result of digging into 1970’s popular music in Angola. Acclaimed by BBC radio host Annie Mac, and supported by the likes of Jillionaire, Buraka Som Sistema or Toddla T, some of these remixes are already being played throughout clubs and parties all over the world, but were never officially released.
Courtesy of Analog Africa, all original tracks were taken from the “Angola Soundtrack” compilation series. Includes 2 that have never been aired and one is a vinyl exclusive.
The release of these classic tribal reworks was eventually made possible thanks to Oliver’s recent trips to Colombia, where he worked alongside Systema Solar, Ghetto Kumbé, Nidia Gongora and Palenque Records, for an impressive variety of original productions, collaborations and remixes.
We actually met him in Colombia, and have been releasing some of his works in the past years. Listen to his remix of “Mama Africa” by Colombiafrica Orchestra, from our “AfroColombia Remix” compilation volume 2, and to the Ghetto Kumbé EP “Soy Selva”, produced by him.
Following up on The Busy Twist previous collaborations with Congolese singer Tres.
“Nanko EP” is another joyful, sun-soaked, highly danceable Electro-Soukous party joint, loaded with captivating guitar grooves and soulful vocals, that also features “Rwendo Rweupenyu (The Journey Of Life) Remix” , an outstanding take on Zimbabwean sungura Music (one of the country’s most popular genres), originally performed by street band Daniel & Gonora Sounds, led by singer-guitarist Daniel Gonora and his drummer son Isaac.

Rambunctious social club is a long running club/music night know for it’s extravagant decor and immersive fun.
Run by current TP resident Art director and Artist Lee Hodges and Glyn Griffiths, bringing a unique fusion of colour, vision and tropical sounds to give any night a distinct and very memorable flavour. Recent collaborations on their nights include Nickodemus, Sam Redmore and his Tropical All stars…plus many more.
