KITE TALES

JOIN US FOR A CELEBRATORY DAY OF REMEMBERENCE, REFLECTION AND RECREATION WITH KITES.

This spring, as part of Wildworks’ ‘Hello Stranger’ project, join Giles King and Ciaran Clarke for acts of remembrance, reflection, and recreation with kites.

Across a series of kite-building workshops – as well as conversations centred around life and death – this project looks to the skies as we re-imagine death rituals, connecting our kites with memories, the living and the spirit world. Join us at the workshops across March and April, before we take to the skies at Mount Pleasant Eco Park on Monday 6th May.

The kite-building workshops – which encourage conversations around death and dying – take place on Sunday 17th March and Sunday 24th March at the Eco Park, Porthtowan. And a third workshop taking place on Sunday 21st April (The Dracaena Centre Falmouth). We would love to be joined by death café attendees at the kite-building workshops.

Build a kite, speak about life and death, fly any kites you have, remember a loved one, or do any or all of the above.

Free adult workshops making either Rokkaku, Delta or Maltese kites whilst talking about loved ones, life and death. Sign up to one of the three workshops, then join us as we take to the skies for a group Fly Day on the Bank Holiday Monday at the Eco Park.
