Willow Weaving: Sustainable Bird Feeder / Vegetable Basket

No previous weaving experience necessary, everything provided in order to make and take home two of your own willow creations!

No previous weaving experience necessary as Jasmine Fassenfelt, weaver of Nature’s Hand at The Lost Gardens of Heligan will guide you through each step of creating a simple willow bird feeder and then a larger fat ball or garlic holder. You will take both home with you, along with the laughs and experience to make more of your own.

Please note this workshop is not suitable for young children (14yrs +) due to the very fiddly nature of willow craft.

Materials and equipment provided but please do bring along your favourite or a sharp pair of secateurs if you have some at home.

The workshop will be between two and a half to three hours with time for tea and nibbles in between! Lunch is not provided however there is a wonderful cafe on site.

Please arrive 10 mins before the workshop start time so that we can make full use of the time we have. In good weather there is the option to weave outside in the sunshine!

On arrival please make your way to the main site office where they will let you know how to get to the greenroom where our workshop will be.

Saturday 10th August from 1 – 4pm
