Sustainable community space in the heart of Cornwall.

Mount Pleasant EcoLogical Park is situated in 42 acres of organic farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty,near Porthtowan on the north Cornish coast.

The site was redundant when work started in the spring of 2003, the farm buildings derelict and the land exhausted after 36 years of intensive farming.

Our aim is to bring the site back to life through organic principles, increasing bio diversity and conservation programmes and to create a useful community facility.

It’s a working site that is open to the public, aiming to show by example more sustainable ways of doing things. It provides high quality workspace for local businesses, organic growing space for local people through the community garden scheme, training and education in traditional and sustainable skills to schools, colleges, universities and the general public. It is a venue for local events such as green wedding receptions, theatre, open days, fund raising events, music and celebrations
