Introducing our 2nd finalists for the Tropical Pressure Battle of the Bands (Saturday the 5th of April) 🤩 Kakafoni 🔥 Hailing from Cornwall Kakafoni are currently a 7 piece band consisting of @mokimokikiss on guitar, @webmoms on guitar & flute, @alohajackito on sax, @willeason on keys, @noahwarnesdrums on drums, @jorge.boyy on bass & @tmdaley on percussion. While Kakafoni are no newbies to Tropical Pressure (they played the Amphitheatre stage last year) they are going for a shot at the main stage this year. Over the coming days we'll be introducing you to our finalists for the Tropical Pressure Battle of the Bands which takes place on Saturday 5th April 🤩 Starting off with... @ottoandthemutapacalling 🔥 Otto & The Mutapa Calling is a colourful, London-based marimba band playing energetic, joyful music from the southern tropics of Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe - including traditional songs, original songs and popular southern African covers. The band's set-up includes soprano, tenor and baritone marimbas, with drumming and singing. The marimba band’s sound is full of energy and pulsating rhythms - and the band’s music shares the rich cultures, histories and stories of the people of southern Africa.
